General Terms & House Rules

Use of the rehearsal rooms

  • Both rooms are equipped with a basic backline. There is sufficient gear available; see the list in the booth. If you have additional requests, please contact us. Handle the equipment with care (check the ohmage of tops and speaker cabinets).
  • After use, hang up or put back all cables and microphones.
  • Leave everything neat and tidy.
  • Return the drum kit to the way you found it (or better). In other words, make sure it is complete and usable for the next band. It also looks more professional.
  • Please return any items you moved from one booth to another back to their original place. They are quite attached to their own booth. Check the gear list or the sticker on the equipment if you’re unsure.
  • After use, turn off the extractor fan and, if applicable, the heating.
  • If something is broken, please report it (WhatsApp group / email) and set it aside so we can repair or replace it.
  • Smoking is not allowed.

Use of amplifiers / cymbals

  • In the instrument cabinet (marked with an A) you will find a selection of amplifiers that can be rented. Have a look—maybe there’s something cool for you. Wishes or requests? Let us know!
  • Check the ohmage before use.
  • Please put everything back after use.

Use of the common area

  • In the common area you can relax with a cold drink after all your musical efforts. Let’s all make sure this space stays reasonably tidy.
  • When leaving, check that all lights are turned off.
  • Are you the last one to leave? Then make sure to properly lock the hall using the keypad on the outside.
  • Smoking is not allowed.

Use of keys / gate

  • With a membership or fixed time slot you will receive a new door code monthly or yearly. Do not share this code with anyone.
  • The key for the booth in which you are regularly scheduled can be found in the key safe above the coffee machine. You will receive the code for this separately.
  • The phone number of the contact person (max. 1 per band) will also be added to the gate system, allowing this person to open the gate remotely by calling.

One-time rehearsals

If you rehearse with us as a non-regular band or non-member (one-time), you are our guest. If it’s your first time, one of us will always be present to welcome you and show you around. Scheduled rehearsals can be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours before the start. After that, the full amount will be charged.

Schedule

Each band receives login details for using the scheduling system. With this system, bands can modify, delete, or add rehearsals. Regular bands at Anker Studio have the option to schedule extra rehearsals free of charge. Such an extra rehearsal must be clearly indicated as such in the system and may be overruled by Anker Studio.

Drinks

Drinks or snacks can be purchased using the tally list. This works on a trust basis, and we expect bands to be honest about this. In fact, the band with the most tally marks becomes Anker Band of the Month—photo frame, hall of fame, the works. At the end of the month, all tally marks are added up and included on the invoice. It is not cool to consume self-brought drinks in the rehearsal rooms or common area.

Invoicing

Every band rehearsing at Anker Studio receives an invoice by email at the beginning of the month for the previous month. The payment term is two weeks (14 days). Membership fees and rental of storage lockers (for members) are collected automatically via MoneyBird.

Notice period and duration

The notice period is 1 month. Deviations are possible in consultation. In general, a lot is possible through discussion. The minimum duration of a membership or the rental of a fixed evening or time slot is 6 months. After that, the notice period applies.

General

Anker Studio reserves the right at all times to deny a person or band access to a rented rehearsal room or the Anker Studio premises if the above house rules are not complied with.

Liability

Due to the large number of users, the open nature of the rehearsal space, and the number of keys and codes in circulation, Anker Studio unfortunately cannot accept liability for stored or used equipment and instruments. This means that in the event of theft or fire, you are responsible for the damage incurred yourself. Anker Studio therefore accepts no liability whatsoever for damage, injury, loss, or theft occurring in the rehearsal rooms or elsewhere in the building.
